- CONCEPT & IDENTITY -

This game is about being an “OUTSIDER”. Out of the 4 developers who worked on this project, 3 left their comfort zones to fill roles that they aren’t comfortable in. Our two artists are programmers making art through clay for the very first time. The game itself is a reflection on how we feel like outsiders to modern meme culture. And finally, the player character and player themselves are outsiders to the world of ROTopia. They are in a place they don’t understand, piecing through artifacts of a culture they don't belong to, exploring an empty world - all alone.
